What buyers see at checkout
A checkout in Shopify’s layout with your logo and colors, express buttons at the top, and the card form from Whop.
Buyers land on a checkout that follows Shopify’s layout, with your logo, colors and font from Payd’s Checkout page, at your own checkout address if you add one.
- Express checkout at the top: Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal, when they’re available (express wallets).
- Contact and delivery, then the shipping rates from your Shopify shipping settings.
- Payment: the card form comes from Whop and shows Whop’s name and Buyer Terms.
- Order summary with your products, discount codes typed in the cart or at checkout, shipping and the total.
Because Whop is the merchant of record, Whop emails the buyer a receipt and card statements read WHOP* followed by your store name. Use the brand name buyers know. Shopify still sends its usual order confirmation for the order Payd creates.
The checkout and thank-you page speak 18 languages. By default they follow your storefront’s language, then the buyer’s browser; Checkout → Language can fix one. Text you type yourself shows as you typed it. Whop’s card form and its line “By continuing, you agree to Whop’s Buyer Terms… Powered by Whop” come from Whop and can’t be removed: Whop is the merchant of record.
After paying, buyers see Payd’s thank-you page, or, if you choose it under Checkout → After payment, Shopify’s order status page or a page of your own. Your pixels record the purchase first.
