Payd, Shopify and Whop
Payd isn’t affiliated with Shopify, and is a Whop partner, not part of Whop. Whop is the merchant of record; Payd never holds your money.
- Payd is not affiliated with, or approved by, Shopify. It is in Whop’s partner program but isn’t part of Whop: connecting makes Payd your Whop business’s partner, and Whop pays Payd a share of the fees it already charges you.
- Whop is the merchant of record for Payd checkouts: its name and Buyer Terms are on the payment form, it emails buyers a receipt, and its Seller Terms apply to your business.
- Your money goes straight to your own Whop business. Payd never holds funds.
- Your keys (the Shopify app secret and the Whop API key) are stored encrypted, and only used to run your checkout.
